Storyline
Based on a true story. What happens when a small business owner in Quebec is targeted by the language police for publishing Instagram posts in English? Will the owner go to jail? Will he face fines that will put him out of business? What will he do faced with a language cop that refuses to speak English? Is there any way for the protagonist to get out of this situation? Will he get the antagonist off his back and help his business survive? Can his friend that knows the language cop help him out?

That the creator of the animation Montreal is not my Home and Coffee with a Side of English, Robin Chase, is from Saint-Sauveur, Quebec. He grew up in that province and spent over 25 years there. He also created this animated short from a real life event where a business owner in Gatineau, Quebec was told by the language police that she would have to remove all her English posts on Instagram in order not to get a fine.
